Tiny Garden Therapy

Holistic, trauma informed therapy to support reconnection across all our relationships

When the fullness of ourselves, our histories, and our experiences are held with care without pathologizing or othering, we can tap into all the possibilities of the people we want to become and the communities we want to build. I believe that therapy can and should be a space where you can build up the support and skills that facilitate and sustain community connection, safety, and action. As such, therapy cannot be separate from and must be rooted in undoing all the ways white supremacy and colonialism replicate themselves in our bodies and our relationships. The ways we work together will be flexible and adaptable to your needs, desires, and stories, and it's important to me that we co-create shared power structures and expectations for accountability toward one another as we work together. I strive for my therapy to move away from pathologizing models centered on managing symptoms and move more towards understanding somatically how systems of oppression operate at all levels to disconnect us from our bodies, our histories, and others.

Working together, you can expect us to explore your personal and generational histories and how they currently live in your body, unpack narratives about who you are and what you deserve, reconnect to and build trust in your body, and practice skills to build loving, mutual relationships. While I am trained in modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems, and Attachment Theory (among others), I will prioritize building an accountable, compassionate, and transparent relationship with you first and can integrate these approaches if they feel aligned with your experiences and wants. My practice is centered in supporting my clients in reconnecting to or building closer relationship with their identities, interpersonal and communal relationships, personal and generational histories, values, and desires, and I deeply believe in building joy and playfulness into my work. We can always surprise ourselves in the ways we can grow and change, and I hope to support you in being curious about what this can look like for you.

My Approach

is relational, trauma informed, anti-oppressive, and systemic, and I am guided by harm reduction, anti-imperialist, transformative justice, anti-carceral, and disability justice values.

In our day to day, systems of oppression operate at all levels of power to disconnect us from our bodies, our histories, and others and leave us feeling disempowered, unsafe, shallow, or frustrated by our own stuckness. Together, we can pull together the threads of your stories and experiences to find where you can build safety within yourself and your relationships, attune yourself to how your body is carrying these impacts, and practice building relationships that are aligned with the futures you desire.
