About Me

Lennox Mars (they/he) MSW, LSWAIC

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read more about me! I am a white queer, neurodivergent, trans person with an affinity for joy and laughter. Many of the ways we understand therapy or have been taught about therapy are rooted in upholding whiteness and white supremacy values, so as a white person in this work it's my responsibility to root my work within a Black liberation and indigenous sovereignty praxis. I approach my work from a foundation of connection and reconnection to trust in ourselves, our bodies, our communities, our individual, shared, and generational histories, and to land. My work and values are informed and inspired by my experiences in community building work and from the work of educators, writers, and visionaries such as Jennifer Mullan, Ismatu Gwendolyn, Kai Cheng Thom, Mariame Kaba, Stef Kaufman, and Mia Mingus, among others. I have worked extensively with LGBTQIA+ survivors of interpersonal violence, neurodiverse individuals, low income individuals and families, queer and trans youth, and trans aspiring or current parents. I'm excited to meet you and learn about what you dream for yourself, your relationships, and your community and to build towards this together!

Outside of my work, I am often spending time with the people and creatures I love. You can find me gardening, trying new recipes with family and friends, lounging in the sun and by the water, pulling tarot, or trying every art form I can (I’m currently trying out wheel throwing!).

I received my Masters in Clinical Social Work from the University of Washington in June 2023. Before this, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from Western Washington University in 2019. Currently I am an Associate Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am currently supervised by Jamie Weber, MSW LICSW (LW60665803), and K. Slater Lin, EdM, NCC, LMHC (LH61163872).
